Chocolate Hazelnut Churros-bakeitout
Hello! everyone there here I am with another new recipe which is deadly easy.People wait hours to get freshly fried or baked churros and especially now that the weather is getting colder. A batch of fresh Churros and a cup of hot chocolate are like heaven on earth. So lets get started....
INGREDIENTS:
-1 cup water
-2 teaspoons sugar
-2 tablespoons oil
-1 cup of flour
-2 eggs
-Chocolate hazelnut spread/nutella/melted chocolate
-Oil for frying
-sugar and cinnamon to sprinkle on the churros
PREPARATION:
-Heat water, sugar and oil until it comes to boil, then remove from heat.
-Add the flour and stir vigorously until mixture forms a smooth paste without any bubbles left in.
-Add the eggs and stir until mixture becomes smooth(mixture should not be hot or else your eggs may get scrambled).
-Spoon the dough into a piping bag with a star-shaped tip by pushing down the mixture to eliminate air bubbles.
-Transfer strips onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in freezer for 45 mins-1 hr.
-Fry the churros until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
(or)
-Directly bake it for 10 mins in 180c preheated oven(substitute sugar and oil with brown sugar and butter)
-Create place for the filling in centre of churros by poking a straw into the centre.
-Sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon and sugar(You can avoid cinnamon if you don't like spices and if baked dip into melted butter and then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar).
-Transfer chocolate hazelnut spread/nutella into a piping bag, then pipe filling into churros.(or you can just serve it with melted chocolate)
