Chocolate macarons-bakeitout
Hello! here I am with another recipe nothing but chocolate macarons. There are many basic macaron recipes but let us add a twist of chocolate in it for those chocolate lovers like me:) so lets get started....
INGREDIENTS:
-1 cup powdered sugar
-1/2 cup powdered almonds
-3 tbsp unsweet cocoa powder
-2 egg whites
-pinch of salt
-5 tbsp granulated sugar
-120g dark chocolate
-1/2 cup heavy cream
-1 tsp instant coffee powder(optional)
-1 tbsp butter
PROCEDURE:
-Add powdered sugar, almond powder and cocoa powder in a mixer or food processor and and grind until fine power is obtained. Sieve this in a bowl.
-In another bowl take egg whites add salt and then beat it until it holds its shape.Add sugar little by little while beating and beat until it firms and forms stiff peaks like about 1 11/2 - 2 mins.
-Add the dry ingredients little by little like in two to three batches and start folding until there are no lumps and no egg white left.
-Shift it into piping bag and pipe it on a baking tray with parchment paper placed on it 1 inch circles with 1 inch distance inbetween.
-Tap the tray on the table so that the air bubbles gets removed.
-Allow them to rest for 20-30 mins until a skin forms on the top(you can touch on the top so that you can conform).
-Bake it for 10-15 mins in a 180c preheated oven.
-Let then cool between let us make the filling.For the filling take heavy cream and let it boil until it starts boiling add instant coffee powder and then pour it on the chocolate and let it sit for 1 min.
-Mix the mixture by adding butter until smooth and let it cool completely.
-Take the shells of same size and fill the filling.
-Allow them two stand for atleast 1 day so that the flavours get meld.And enjoy then:)
