Soft Pretzels-bakeitout

Hello! everyone there here another new recipe for all of you, nothing but soft pretzels.It is a type of baked bread product which is very easy when you are mastered in pizza dough.So lets get started...

INGREDIENTS:

-3/4 cup room temperature water

-1 tsp dry yeast

-1 tsp sugar

-3/4 tsp salt

-2 cups all purpose flour

-3 tbsp olive oil

-1 egg,beaten

-1/3 cup baking soda

-coarse salt/regular salt

PROCEDURE:

-Pour 3/4 cup water into small bowl(water should not be hot at all or else your yeast may die), add yeast and sugar and stir until it dissolves and let it stand for 5 min closed in a dry and dark place until yeast rises.You will see foam like appearance on the top.

-In a bowl add flour, salt(be careful that salt does not get directly in contact with yeast as salt retard yeast growth) .In the middle of the bowl add the yeast mixture add oil.Mix it until it forms a dough.Knead it thoroughly until it forms a soft dough.Place the dough in a bowl and coat it with oil.Cover it with a cloth and let dough rise in warm dark area until it doubles in volume, about 1 hour or you can even leave it over night.

-Punch down dough as the extra air come out.Then cut the dough into 6 pieces and roll them out into thin ropes(remember to make the rope in even size so that it doesn't over cook or become hard in a particular place.), twisting the two ends to form a pretzel shape .

-Add baking soda to a large pot of water, bring to boil and soak pretzels for 20 sec per side.

-Transfer pretzels to a baking sheet, brush the top of the pretzels with egg wash, and sprinkle salt.Bake for 10-15 mins in a 180 c preheated oven, until golden brown.

-Serve it with mustard sauce or mayonnaise sauce or any sauce of your chiose.
